This past May (2024), members of the Tallavera team had the unique opportunity to present one of our own with the prestigious Daisy Award, here in Rochester NY. Christian Sieczkarski was nominated by a fellow nurse at RRH for his unwavering dedication and commitment to going above and beyond:
“I would like to recognize Christian Sieczkarski for really stepping up to the plate on this current assignment. He has been such an amazing resource to the department and is always willing to help in any situation. He has really done an amazing job with our acute patients and is very flexible.”

The Daisy Award was established in 1999 by the family of J. Patrick Barnes, who passed away from an auto-immune disease. His family was deeply moved by the care and attention he had received from the nurses during his time in the hospital.
In honor of their son and the nurses that were so kind to him, the Daisy Award is given to nurses who go above and beyond in their care, showcasing compassion, skill, and dedication in their everyday work.
Awardees receive a certificate, a Daisy pin, and often a hand-carved African Stone Sculpture from Zimbabwe called the “Healer’s Touch.”
